OPEN INVITATION

With the goal of facilitating woody biomass development and creating jobs, we decided that a state-wide web site would help us to develop a learning community for everyone who is working on or is interested in learning about woody biomass development. The site will be a resource for white papers on woody biomass subjects, and will list consultants and contractors with special expertise and woody biomass symposia and events. Each region will have its own section where planned and developing projects can be listed and there will be a direct link to its regional web site.

We invite you to contribute your expertise, suggest solutions to problems and share what works and doesn’t work with projects in your region. We further realize that woody biomass, like many activities, doesn’t always neatly fit within state borders; therefore, we encourage other states and regional organizations to join with us in developing solutions for biomass problems that will help everyone move forward with this important renewable resource.

The web site is, and will continue to be, a work in progress. An important aspect of a learning community is staying open to new ideas from others and feeling free to express your own ideas.

Ideas for web site content or questions may be addressed to the members listed below or to Bob Swandby, 208-334-2650, ext 2119 email: bob.swandby@commcerce.idaho.gov.

Thank you for your participation, and please feel free to contact us.
